Safety Eye instructions are included as an option to needle felting, however the pattern DOES include needle felting instructions for the face. There are also full instructions on how to create the cloak clasp, as well as an option for how to make a yarn version if you don't want to fuss with the jewelry.
Vlad comes with instructions to make the doll itself, including color-change instructions for shoes, shorts, pants and various different shirt types. Also comes with vest pattern, ascot, and the cloak with two different trim options -- and a hat!

To make your own Vlad like the one in the photos, you’ll need the following materials:
• Crochet hooks size: 5.00mm, 4.50mm, & 4.00mm
• Tapestry needle
• Locking stitch markers and/or pins
• Hand sewing needle and thread that matches the color of the vest (to sew on buttons)
• For armature: bendable wire, gauge 18-20, at least 20” long, as well as wire cutters & needle nose pliers
• Vest Buttons: 6-8mm round, black
• Cloak Clasp: 2” of 3mm chain, matching lobster claw, two connector “O” rings, two coordinating 5/8” decorative buttons with a loop on the back.
• Shoe Details: Silver thread-weight yarn or embroidery floss: 5 yds. Six silver flatback rhinestones, 2mm
• Hat: one silver flatback rhinestone, 8mm and a small feather (ostrich)
• For Needle Felting: Felting needles and wool roving colored: medium gray, burgundy, dark rose pink, light purple, baby blue, black & white
• Optional: Fabric Glue (ex. Aleene’s Tacky Glue)
Note: You may use 14-20mm safety eyes instead of felting. Safety Eye instructions are included.
Pattern Skill Level: Intermediate. You need to know how to work into the back of a starting/foundation chain in order to make an oval. You also much be familiar with making amigurumi dolls and clothing, including how to sew on clasps and small buttons.
Size Info: With the yarn and hooks suggested, Vlad is approximately 15” tall.
