To make these epic mini wearable dragon wings, you’ll need the following materials:
Worsted weight yarn (approx 200 yds of the main color and 75 yds of the accent color)
Crochet hook size: G/4.00mm
tapestry needle
Locking stitch markers or pins
1/2” thick elastic band, about 24” long
Hand sewing needle and thread that matches the color of the elastic
14-gauge galvanized steel wire
Heavy duty wire cutters
Masking tape
Pattern Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced. Beginners are not recommended for this project due to the level of sewing involved as well as all the construction needed to attach the wings to the wire frame.
Size Info: With the yarn and hooks suggested, these wings have approximately a 30” wingspan and are 14.5” long from top to bottom. They fit most adults and kids aged 3 and up depending on how wide you make the armholes. The size of the elastic armholes can be easily customized. See the Assembly Section for more info. For reference, the Large Wearable Dragon Wings have a 40" wingspan.
