Learn how to make your own adorable Chunky Unicorn Plushie with this digital crochet PATTERN. The Chunky Unicorn Plushie pattern comes with a 28-page PDF document in full color with detailed instructions and tons of large, clear photos -- including helpful graphics and diagrams. There are two versions contained within this pattern: straight hair and curly along with an option for heart or star spots.
This pattern requires minimal sewing. The only things that need to be sewn are the head, eyes, ears, horn and one structural piece for the tail that won't be visible. The hair is surface crocheted to the unicorn.

To make the Chunky Unicorn Plushie, you’ll need the following materials:
• Size 5 bulky/chunky weight Chenille aka “plush” or blanket yarn. Approx 800 yds total. Exact amounts and colors listed in the pattern.
• Size H/5.00mm crochet hook or whatever is needed to achieve the correct gauge
• Tapestry needle
• 6” square of black craft felt (for the pupils of the eyes)
• Pins and/or stitch markers
• Polyester Stuffing (approx. one 5oz bag)
• Optional: Use a pool noodle or similar type of firm foam to cut to size and insert into the legs
Pattern Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced. Beginners are not recommended for this project due to the complexity of the body separation for the legs, the amount of sewing and other crochet techniques (such as surface crocheting and sewing different pieces together).
Size Info: With the yarn and hook combo suggested, the dimensions of the unicorn are: 16” high, 15” long and 17” around the belly.
